Nispy: Live at the Across the Street Bar 1995
First off, big thanks to JR for putting this together for us. I don't think we even had a copy of this tape any more.
Rick sez: This was Nispy's 3rd live show, and 1st live show that wasn't related to a school function. We played The Across the Street Bar in Dallas the summer before 3/4ths of us went to college.
What I remember about the show was all our friends and fans that came out. It wasn't a huge crowd, but we had everyone in one place who had supported us all through the high school era. From the sound guy continuously flubbing our name, me almost passing out at the end of Imbroglio to"The Defectors" never showing up, it was, in retrospect, perfect.
The sound quality is really bad, and we couldn't hear ourselves. We also couldn't hear our instruments going horribly out of tune about 4 songs in.
This is for serious fans only and not for the faint of.. uh.. ear.
